Welcome to my Dream Commercial

We have written here before about the internets fragile ego and constant need for attention but now it seems that media and those who feast at its table are reaching higher and higher platitudes. Not content to bombard us with pop up ads on line and to monitor our conversations for marketing opportunities, it seems that companies are now tapping into our dreams to get our attention. Coors brewery recently encouraged people to watch a short online video before bed, then play an eight-hour “soundscape” through the night. If successful, this “targeted dream incubation” would trigger “refreshing dreams” of Coors beer.  It appears that our waking hours are not sufficient to grasp for the brass ring of our attention, we now need to be attacked in our sleep. If only we knew how valuable we truly are, perhaps we would value ourselves and hopefully one another like the sacred vessels we are- meant to be filled with love and joy- not more things our life doesn’t need.
